Game Overview

Ever played Snake but wished it had more mystery and a bit of that old-school dungeon-crawler vibe? Drake Snake and the Secret Crypt is exactly that—a weird little MS-DOS gem where you slither through dark, maze-like crypts instead of just chasing dots. The first time I played, I expected basic Snake mechanics, but then I hit a trapdoor and fell into a secret chamber. That’s when I realized this game had more going on.

The crypt levels are full of little surprises—pressure plates that open hidden passages, spikes that pop up if you linger too long, and these weird glowing orbs that might be treasure… or might just explode. The pixel art’s simple but moody, and the chiptune soundtrack nails that eerie, "should I really be down here?" feeling. It’s still Snake at heart—don’t crash into your own tail—but with just enough adventure to keep you poking around corners.

Honestly, it’s one of those games that makes you wonder why nobody else thought to mix Snake with dungeon puzzles. If you’ve got a soft spot for DOS-era oddities, this one’s a blast.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
