Dream World came out in 2005 from Arcade Innovations, a time when arcades were still hanging on but mostly about quick, clever games you could drop a coin into. It didn't try to be a big story thing; it was just this bright, strange platformer that felt both familiar and completely new.

You control a small, round character who can run and jump across disconnected, screen by screen floating islands. The main goal is to collect a set of glowing orbs scattered in each stage, which requires careful navigation and timing. Two mechanics define the play: you can dash through certain obstacles and enemies, and later, you gain the ability to flip gravity, turning the ceiling into your floor. The pacing is methodical, almost puzzle like, with a real risk of falling into the void if you misjudge a jump. It feels like carefully solving a spatial problem while staying light on your feet.
