Play Duck Tales (Europe) Online

Pogo around as Scrooge McDuck, smacking ghosts with your cane and hunting treasure from haunted castles to the moon—somehow that last part just works. The controls are tight, the tunes slap, and yeah, you might get lost, but that’s half the fun.

Game Overview

DuckTales on the NES is one of those rare licensed games that actually nails it. You play as Scrooge McDuck, bouncing around on his cane like some kind of wealthy, grumpy kangaroo. The levels take you everywhere—jungles, haunted castles, even the moon, which somehow makes perfect sense in this universe.

The controls feel surprisingly good for an 8-bit game, and the music? Oh man, the Moon theme alone is worth the price of admission. It’s got that perfect balance where it’s challenging enough to keep you on your toes but never feels unfair. And yeah, you’ll probably get stuck a few times figuring out where to go next, but stumbling onto hidden treasure never gets old.

If you’ve never played it before, don’t let the Disney branding fool you—this is a legit great platformer. Even after all these years, it still holds up.
