Game Overview

Elevator was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation of early titles that captured the simple, often punishing spirit of 1980s computer gaming. It was developed by Ronald J. Fortin and published by Sirius Software, a company known for its straightforward arcade-style releases. The game fits squarely into its era, a time when minimal graphics and demanding mechanics were the norm, not the exception.

You control a small, blocky character whose only goal is to ascend a tower by jumping onto moving elevators. The primary challenge is timing your leaps precisely as platforms slide in and out, vanish without warning, or change direction. You must navigate screen by screen, with each floor presenting a new arrangement of hazards and moving lifts. The pace is relentless; hesitation means falling into the void and restarting the stage. It feels like a tense, rhythmic puzzle where every jump is a calculated risk.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
