ExciteBike on NES is that classic motocross racer where you're either racing against the clock or trying to outmaneuver other riders across five wild tracks. The jumps are ridiculous, the obstacles will send you flying, and somehow, wiping out never gets old. My first race? Total disaster—overshot a ramp and faceplanted into the dirt. But once you get the hang of leaning mid-air to control landings, it clicks.

The real magic is the track editor. You can slap together ramps, bumps, and whatever else you want, then test it by racing your own nightmare creation. I spent way too much time building impossible tracks just to watch the AI wipe out. Pro tip: don't go overboard with obstacles unless you want to see your bike flip end-over-end.
