Game Overview

Extreme Skate Adventure on the GBA is one of those games that just feels right in your hands—like someone crammed the best parts of a console skate game into that tiny cartridge. The first time I played, I wiped out immediately trying to ollie off a ramp, but after a few minutes, I was stringing together grinds and flips like it was second nature.

The levels are these condensed little skateparks and cityscapes with just enough hidden nooks to make exploration fun without being overwhelming. And the trick system? Simple enough that you’ll land a kickflip within seconds, but good luck nailing a perfect combo without eating pavement a few times first. It’s got that same chaotic energy as the old Tony Hawk games, but with a chunky pixel-art style that gives it its own personality.

Honestly, it’s the kind of game you’ll flip open during a bus ride and suddenly realize you’ve been playing for an hour. The music’s cheesy in the best way, too. If you’ve got a soft spot for GBA gems or just want something to scratch that skateboarding itch, this one’s worth dusting off.
