Game Overview

Famicom Mini 11: Mario Bros. is that weird, stripped-down Mario game your uncle probably played in arcades before Super Mario Bros. even existed. No jumping on goombas, no princess-saving—just you and Luigi (or a friend) trapped in a single-screen sewer, flipping turtles and crabs upside down before booting them off the stage. It’s janky in that 1983 way where enemies phase through floors sometimes, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about the rhythm of it.

The GBA version keeps everything intact—right down to the slightly awkward controls—but adds that crisp handheld screen glow. Perfect for short bursts, though good luck putting it down once you start chasing high scores. Pro tip: the fireballs are absolute menaces, and the ice levels will make you question your friendship if you’re playing co-op.
