Family Trainer - Jogging Race is one of those weird, sweaty NES gems that makes you wonder how anyone thought this was a good idea—until you're actually stomping on the Power Pad like a maniac. It's basically a jogging simulator where you run in place on the mat controller, dodging obstacles and trying not to faceplant into oncoming hurdles. The graphics are about what you'd expect from an 80s fitness game (think blocky runners and questionable physics), but there's something weirdly addictive about the whole thing. Just don't play it barefoot—those buttons hurt after a while.
Bandai and Human somehow made exercise feel like an arcade game, and honestly? It kind of works. You'll either love it or swear off it forever after five minutes.
