Play Fighter's History (Japan) Online

Fighter’s History is that SNES fighter where you throw janky fireballs as a clown or a dude in a bulldozer, missing half your punches while the announcer badly mimics Street Fighter. It’s so shameless it’s almost lovable.

Game Overview

Fighter's History is basically that one SNES fighting game that made Capcom so mad they sued Data East over how much it looked like Street Fighter II. And yeah, it's pretty shameless—same six-button layout, similar special moves, even the announcer sounds like he's doing a bad Ryu impression. But there's something weirdly charming about its janky knockoff energy. The characters are all bizarre (a clown? A guy in a literal bulldozer?), and the hit detection feels a little off, like punches phase through enemies half the time. Not gonna lie, I mostly play it to laugh at how hard it tries to be SF2 while failing in the most entertaining ways. If you're into weird retro fighting game drama, this one's a time capsule.
