Game Overview

First Expedition is one of those old MS-DOS games that somehow burrows into your brain and refuses to leave. You start with a ragtag crew, a handful of supplies, and a map full of question marks—then it’s just you against the wilderness, making brutal calls about when to push forward or cut your losses.

It’s got that same tense, "please don’t let my team starve" vibe as Oregon Trail, but stripped down to pure strategy. No fancy cutscenes, just a blinking cursor and the creeping dread of running out of food. I lost my first three expeditions because I got greedy and ignored storm warnings—lesson learned.

If you miss the days when games didn’t hold your hand, this one’s a time capsule. The graphics are basically colored ASCII, but after 10 minutes, you’ll be too busy rationing bandages to care. Still holds up if you’re into that raw, unforgiving kind of fun.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
