But commerce isn’t your only concern—managing your family, educating your children, and sending them on expeditions to discover new cities are crucial to securing your legacy.

The game adds layers of strategy with random events like pirate attacks, which trigger tactical naval battles played out on a simple combat map. Over generations, you’ll work toward becoming Lübeck’s mayor, but your dynasty must endure: if no heir is present to inherit your business upon your death, the game ends.
