Flimbo's Quest came out on the Amiga in 1990, developed by System 3 and published by U.S. Gold. It was one of those solid platformers from the era that didn't try to reinvent the wheel but offered a clear, focused adventure. You controlled a character named Flimbo, a strongman type on a mission to save his girlfriend Pearly from an evil circus ringmaster.

You move Flimbo screen by screen, jumping across platforms and fighting enemies with a punch or by throwing anvils you find. The main goal is to get through seven themed levels, each with a boss at the end, while collecting coins and avoiding hazards. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can be unforgiving with precise jumps and aggressive enemies. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes punishing test of your timing and patience.
