Play FX Fighter Online

FX Fighter was that janky DOS brawler where you'd pull off ridiculous moves while the camera swung wildly, like someone kept bumping into the arcade cabinet. Nothing beat the chaos of sudden death on that tiny lava platform.

Game Overview

FX Fighter came out in 1995 for MS-DOS, published by GTE Entertainment and Philips Interactive Media. It was a 3D fighting game from an era when polygonal graphics were still rough around the edges, but it had a certain charm that made it stand out among other DOS titles at the time.

You control one of several fighters, each with their own exaggerated special moves, and battle opponents across a series of dynamic arenas. The main objective is to defeat your rival using a combination of basic attacks, throws, and flashy super moves that drain your energy meter. Signature mechanics include interactive stages with hazards like shrinking platforms or sudden environmental changes, along with a combo system that rewards timing over button mashing. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially when the camera angles shift abruptly mid-fight. It feels chaotic and unpredictable, but landing a well-timed super move makes all the frustration worthwhile.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
