Game Overview

Galactic Invasion is one of those old-school Amiga games that feels way ahead of its time. You and a friend (or the AI, if you're flying solo) get split-screen cockpits in this pseudo-3D space duel. The setup’s clever—you’re each guarding your own solar system, separated by a messy asteroid field. The goal? Scavenge five matching-color warhead parts from satellites before your opponent does, then blow their entire system to space dust.

At first, it’s chaos—you’re blasting satellites, dodging asteroids for fuel, and panicking when you realize you grabbed a blue part and now you’re locked into collecting only blues. Meanwhile, your friend’s probably snickering as they hoard all the red ones. The tension’s great when you’re down to your last fuel crystal, desperately mining asteroids while your opponent’s warhead count ticks up. It’s simple but surprisingly strategic for a ‘90s space shooter.

Just don’t expect fancy graphics—this is pure Amiga-era charm, where imagination fills in the gaps between those chunky polygons. Still holds up if you’ve got a buddy and a nostalgia itch to scratch.
