Earth Invasion is one of those MS-DOS Classic Games releases from the early shareware era, a straightforward arcade shooter that captures the feel of its time. I don't recall a specific developer or publisher attached to it; it was just one of many games you'd find on a floppy disk or a BBS, a simple program that ran on the hardware of the day without much fuss.

You control a stationary ground-based laser cannon, and your only job is to shoot down an endless stream of alien ships that fly across the top of the screen. The main objective is simply to survive for as long as possible, racking up points before the inevitable swarm overwhelms your defenses. The signature mechanics are basic but effective: you aim your turret left and right, time your shots to lead the targets, and watch as the formations become denser and more aggressive with each passing wave. The pacing is relentless; the difficulty spikes quickly, leaving little room for error. It feels like a pure test of reflexes and focus, a tense battle against an incoming tide.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
