Game Overview

Ganbake Goemon on N64 is one of those weird, wonderful games that feels like it shouldn’t exist—in the best way. You’re basically a blue-haired ninja (Goemon, obviously) running around feudal Japan, except everything’s bright, cartoony, and packed with bizarre humor. One minute you’re smacking enemies with a pipe, the next you’re riding a giant robot cat into battle. The controls take a second to click, but once they do, it’s pure chaotic fun.

The puzzles are just the right mix of silly and satisfying—like figuring out how to bribe a sumo wrestler with sushi or outsmarting a gang of literal onion-headed bandits. And yeah, the graphics are dated now, but the art style still oozes charm. If you’ve got a soft spot for N64-era oddballs, this one’s a gem.
