Game Overview
Gauntlet II on MS-DOS is basically the same chaotic dungeon-crawling fun as the original, but with a few neat twists. Instead of being stuck with one class per player, you can now pick duplicates—so yeah, you and your friends can all be wizards if you want, just in different colors. The levels got a refresh too, with some rotated 90 degrees to mess with your sense of direction.
The real standout is the "It" enemy—touch one, and suddenly every monster in the level chases you until you tag another player or escape. It turns the usual hack-and-slash into this weirdly tense game of fantasy tag. There’s also a giant dragon that takes up multiple squares (good luck with that), acid puddles that chunk your health, and a power-up that lets your shots bounce off walls. It’s still classic Gauntlet, just a little wilder.
If you’ve got a few friends and some joysticks, this one’s a solid pick for some old-school multiplayer chaos.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
