Play Gladiator Online
Pick a fighter, step into the pit, and trade blows with ruthless AI—landing that perfect counterattack feels brutal and brilliant. Grab a friend for versus mode and see who lasts longer in this no-nonsense sword brawl.

Game Overview
Man, Gladiator on MS-DOS doesn’t mess around. You boot it up, pick your fighter—some dude with a sword and shield, maybe a spiked mace if you’re feeling nasty—and bam, you’re thrown straight into the dirt of some Roman-style death pit. No tutorials, no hand-holding. Just you, an angry pixelated opponent, and the sound of clanging metal.
The first time I played, I got wrecked in like 10 seconds. The AI doesn’t pull punches—you’ve gotta time your blocks just right or eat a sword to the face. But when you finally land that perfect counterattack? Oh, it’s satisfying. The controls are simple (slash, block, dodge), but there’s a weird rhythm to it that makes fights feel almost like a brutal dance.
Versus mode is where it really shines. Grab a friend, pick your weapons, and watch the friendship dissolve as someone inevitably gets a lucky hit in. It’s janky in that classic early ‘90s way, but that’s part of the charm. If you’ve got a soft spot for raw, no-frills combat games, this one’s worth dusting off.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
