Game Overview

Go Go Ackman is one of those SNES games that feels like it fell out of a comic book—probably because Akira Toriyama designed it. You play as this little demon kid, Ackman, who’s basically a chaotic gremlin with a scythe, running around stealing souls like it’s his part-time job. The controls are snappy, and the levels are these bright, exaggerated stages where you’re slashing enemies, bouncing off walls, and occasionally turning into a giant monster to wreck everything. It’s got that same over-the-top energy as some of the weirder Dragon Ball filler episodes.

What I love is how unapologetically silly it is. One minute you’re fighting angels with goofy expressions, the next you’re riding a missile like it’s no big deal. The whole thing’s over pretty quick, but it’s the kind of game you’ll replay just to see what absurd animation you missed the first time. Definitely a cult favorite if you’re into that early '90s "what were they thinking?" game design.
