God of Thunder, released in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series by Adept Software, is a top-down action game that fits right in with the era's dungeon crawlers. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it offers a solid, focused experience typical of mid-90s shareware titles. You play as Thor, the Norse god, tasked with stopping Loki from unleashing chaos across the realms.

You control Thor through a series of interconnected rooms, using his hammer Mjolnir to defeat enemies like skeletons and trolls. The hammer can be thrown; it ricochets off walls, letting you hit foes around corners or in tight spaces. Your main goal is to collect rune stones to progress, while also managing keys and health in maze-like dungeons. The game moves at a deliberate pace, with some tricky enemy patterns and screen-filling bosses that demand quick reflexes. It feels tense and methodical, rewarding careful aim and exploration over reckless speed.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
