Game Overview

Gods on MS-DOS is one of those games that feels like it was designed to mess with you—in the best way possible. You start off as this buff hero guy, sword in hand, and immediately get thrown into these eerie, trap-filled chambers where everything wants to kill you. The first time I played, I lost three lives just figuring out how to jump over a spike pit without getting skewered.

It’s got that old-school Prince of Persia vibe but with way more mythological weirdness—think minotaurs, floating skulls, and pressure plates that trigger who-knows-what. The pixel art is gorgeous in a creepy way, and the music? Straight-up haunting. You’ll hear those dungeon echoes in your sleep.

What I love is how it doesn’t just punish you—it teaches you. Every death feels like your fault, not the game’s. And when you finally nail a tricky section or uncover a hidden power-up, it’s stupidly satisfying. Just don’t expect to breeze through it in one sitting. This one’s for the masochists who enjoy earning their victories.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
