Game Overview
GT Advance 3 is one of those GBA racers that somehow squeezes way more out of the little handheld than you’d expect. You start with a basic car—nothing fancy—but the real fun is unlocking the 90+ Japanese imports by winning races. Some of these tracks are brutal, especially when you’re stuck with a slow starter car that handles like a shopping cart.
The drifting mode is weirdly addictive. You’ve got to chain corners without straightening out, and pulling off a long, smooth drift feels way more satisfying than it should on a tiny screen. The two-player mode’s a nice touch too, though good luck finding someone else with a GBA and a link cable these days.
Just don’t expect Gran Turismo-level realism—this is arcade racing with a side of rubber-banding AI. But for quick bursts of speed on the go, it still holds up.
