Hang-On & Safari Hunt came out in 1986 for the Sega Master System, published by Sega. It was one of the early titles that tried to show off what the system could do, especially with its built-in light gun support for Safari Hunt. In Hang-On, you control a motorcycle racer, weaving through traffic and leaning into turns to avoid crashing. The goal is to finish each course before time runs out. The main mechanics involve tilting the bike left or right with the D-pad and managing your speed to take corners cleanly. Safari Hunt has you aiming the light gun at the screen, shooting animals like ducks and rabbits as they pop up from behind bushes or fly across the sky. Both games are fast and demand quick reflexes; Hang-On punishes mistimed turns, while Safari Hunt gives you limited bullets per stage. Playing it feels like a constant, tense race against the clock or your own aim.
