Game Overview

Heroes of the Lance on the Amiga is one of those old-school RPGs that feels like it’s straight out of a Dungeons & Dragons session—because, well, it basically is. You pick from a roster of classic Dragonlance characters (Raistlin’s the obvious choice, let’s be honest) and crawl through dark dungeons, swinging swords and flinging spells in turn-based combat.

The pixel art has that gritty late-'80s charm, and the music sets the mood perfectly—though after a few hours, you might start humming the dungeon theme against your will. The controls take a minute to get used to—everything’s menu-driven, so expect some trial and error before you’re smoothly looting chests and casting spells.

It’s not the most polished RPG out there, but if you’re into retro fantasy adventures, this one’s got enough nostalgia and tactical fights to keep you hooked. Just save often—those skeletons hit harder than you’d think.
