Game Overview

Hogan's Alley on the NES is one of those simple-but-addictive light gun games where you have to think fast. You're staring at these goofy cardboard cutouts—some are bad guys, some are just random folks minding their business—and you've gotta shoot the crooks before they disappear. Miss a thug or accidentally blast a civilian, and you lose a life. The cops show up sometimes too, and yeah, you definitely don't want to shoot them.

At first, it's just a plain background, but later levels throw you into a city scene with moving targets. It gets seriously frantic after a while—targets flip faster, innocent people pop up more, and suddenly you're sweating over pixelated gangsters. It's basic, but there's something weirdly satisfying about nailing a perfect run. Just don't expect a deep story or anything; this is pure, old-school reflex training.
