Game Overview

IK+ came out on the Amiga in 1987 from System 3, a time when the platform was starting to show what it could really do with graphics and sound. It was a fighting game, but it stood apart from the one-on-one brawlers by throwing you into the ring against two opponents at the same time.

You control a single martial artist, and your goal is to knock out both of your rivals before they can do the same to you. The game's signature mechanics include a special button that makes your character invisible from the waist down to dodge low attacks, and another that lets you perform a rapid flurry of punches. You can also execute throws and jumping kicks to keep your foes off balance. The pacing is incredibly fast, with attacks coming from both sides, making spatial awareness crucial. It feels like a chaotic, skill-testing scramble where a moment's lapse means you're on the mat.
