Game Overview

I first played Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis: The Action Game back in 1992, when it came out for MS-DOS as part of LucasArts' classic lineup. It was one of those side-scrolling platformers that felt right at home among the pixel-heavy adventures of the era, offering a different take on the Indy universe compared to the point-and-click version released the same year.

You control Indiana Jones through a series of levels, moving screen by screen, using your whip to swing across gaps or attack enemies. The main goal is to recover pieces of the Atlantean crystal before the Nazis do, which means navigating traps, solving environmental puzzles, and occasionally engaging in simple combat. The pacing is brisk, with a fair amount of backtracking and item collection, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly in later stages. It feels like a condensed, hands-on interpretation of an Indy adventure, where quick reflexes and a little trial and error keep you moving forward.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
