Game Overview

Inner Worlds came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Sleepless Software. It was one of those late-era DOS titles that felt like a quiet experiment, a strange little game that didn't try to fit in with the flashier trends of its time.

You control a robed wanderer through surreal hand drawn landscapes, leaping between floating islands, morphing into creatures to solve puzzles, and dodging sketchbook monsters that feel half dreamt. The main goal is to explore each distinct screen, interacting with the environment to unlock paths and progress deeper into the dreamlike structure. The pacing is deliberate, almost meditative at times, but the puzzles can be genuinely tricky, demanding careful observation and a willingness to experiment. Every screen's weirder than the last, and playing it feels like stepping directly into someone else's subconscious.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
