Play International Karate 2000 (Europe) Online
Pick a fighter and trade janky karate chops across rooftops and dojos—better with a friend and a link cable for some chaotic GBC brawls.

International Karate 2000 came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, published by Titus. It was one of those late-era GBC releases that tried to squeeze a bit more out of the hardware before the Advance took over. The game is a straightforward one-on-one fighter, a genre that was always popular on handhelds, though this one didn't get much attention at the time.
You control a martial artist and face off against an opponent across several small, single-screen stages like a rooftop or a dojo. The main goal is to deplete your rival's health bar using a mix of punches, kicks, and special moves. The fighting feels a bit stiff and the timing is strict, so landing hits requires patience and a good read on the opponent's patterns. Matches are quick, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially against later CPU fighters. It's a simple, sometimes clunky experience that captures that portable versus fighting vibe from the era.
