Game Overview

Jet Set Willy came out in 1984 for MS-DOS, developed by Matthew Smith. It was part of that wave of early home computer games where you got a lot of personality packed into a small, unforgiving package. The game stood out for its sheer weirdness and scale at a time when many titles were still straightforward arcade ports or simple platform challenges.

You control Willy, a butler who must collect items scattered across his massive, multi-room mansion after a wild party. The game is built on screen-by-screen exploration; each new area loads as you cross the threshold, and many are filled with moving hazards like bouncing bottles and aggressive household objects. Your goal is simply to pick up every object, but the mansion is laid out like a maze, and death comes quickly from misplaced jumps or unexpected enemies. It feels like a tense, unpredictable scavenger hunt where every success comes with a sigh of relief.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
