Jetpack came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Adept Software. It was one of those straightforward, no-frills platformers that felt right at home in the era of shareware and floppy disks, where games didn't need elaborate stories to pull you in.

You control a small character equipped with a jetpack, navigating through a series of single-screen caverns filled with hazards like lasers, fireballs, and hidden passages. The main goal is to collect all the gems in each level and reach the exit before your limited fuel runs out. Key mechanics include careful thrust management to avoid crashing or falling, and searching for secret switches behind false walls that open new paths. The pacing is tense and deliberate, demanding precision with every burst of the pack; one wrong move often sends you back to the beginning of the level. It feels like a constant, satisfying battle against gravity and your own reflexes.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
