Jetsons - Cogswell's Caper!, The is a side-scrolling platformer for the NES where you play as George Jetson trying to stop Cogswell's schemes. The first thing you notice is how stiff the controls feel—George jumps with this weird floatiness, and landing on platforms can be frustratingly precise.
The levels are these futuristic cityscapes, but they’re mostly just repeating backgrounds with occasional moving walkways or elevators. The puzzles are simple, like pushing buttons to open doors, but the hit detection is rough. I remember getting stuck because I missed a tiny ledge for the third time in a row.
It’s not terrible, but it’s one of those licensed games that feels rushed. If you’re a die-hard Jetsons fan, maybe it’s worth a look. Otherwise, there are better NES platformers out there.
