Joust 2 is one of those arcade games that looks simple until you actually play it. You're riding a giant bird (because why not?), bouncing around platforms and trying to knock enemies off theirs by hitting them from above. The controls take a second to get used to—flapping feels weird at first, but once it clicks, you’ll be weaving between lava pits and dodging those annoying pterodactyls.

It’s way harder than the first Joust, with these weird egg-stealing enemies and stages that force you to think fast. Sometimes you’ll barely survive a round, other times you’ll get wrecked in seconds. Still, there’s something satisfying about finally nailing the timing on a tricky jump or pulling off a last-second save. If you’re into old-school arcade chaos, this one’s a solid pick.
