Play Joust on Msdos Online
Flap your ostrich around, bounce off platforms, and knock knights off their birds—just watch out for the lava and those sneaky pterodactyls.

Joust came out in 1982 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a port of the original Williams Electronics arcade game. It was a straightforward action title from a time when games were built on simple, repeatable concepts rather than complex stories or sprawling worlds. You got what you paid for: a clear objective and mechanics that demanded quick reflexes.
You control a knight riding a flying ostrich, moving from screen to screen across floating platforms. The goal is to defeat enemy knights by colliding with them from a higher position, which knocks them off their mounts and turns them into eggs you must collect before they hatch. Key mechanics include the precise flapping to gain altitude and the risk of falling into the deadly lava below. The game starts deceptively simple but quickly escalates into a frantic scramble as more enemies and pterodactyls appear. It feels like a constant, tense balancing act between aggression and survival.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
