Play Judge Dredd on GB Online

Punch perps, blast troublemakers, and stomp through Mega-City One's pixelated streets—it's clunky in that old Game Boy way, but nailing a clean arrest feels weirdly good.

Game Overview

Judge Dredd on the Game Boy came out in 1995 from Acclaim Entertainment. It was one of those licensed games that tried to capture the gritty comic book action on a handheld screen. The hardware limitations were obvious, but it fit right in with other side-scrolling beat 'em ups of the era.

You control Judge Dredd through a series of urban stages, moving screen by screen and punching or shooting enemies. The main goal is to clear each area of criminals, sometimes arresting them by stunning first. You can switch between fists and your Lawgiver pistol, which has limited ammo types like standard and ricochet shots. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty can spike with enemy numbers. It feels like a slow, deliberate march through a dystopian block.
