Game Overview

Judge Dredd on the SNES is exactly what you’d expect—a loud, chaotic trip through Mega-City One where you shoot first and don’t bother asking questions later. The first thing you’ll notice is how chunky the sprites are, especially Dredd himself, stomping around like a tank in that ridiculous helmet. The Lawgiver feels satisfying to fire, switching between ammo types on the fly, though I mostly stuck with the standard rounds because, well, bullets solve everything.

It’s not exactly smooth—platforming sections can be janky, and some enemies just soak up damage for no reason—but there’s something weirdly fun about how over-the-top it all is. One minute you’re gunning down street thugs, the next you’re dodging exploding barrels in a sewer. The comic book cutscenes between levels nail the vibe, even if the pixel art looks like it was colored with a highlighter.

If you grew up with the comics or just love messy ‘90s action games, this one’s a blast. Just don’t expect anything deep—sometimes you just wanna be the judge, jury, and executioner.
