Play Karate Champship Online

Two karate dudes, one clean hit decides the round. You’ll spend more time wrestling with the controls than your opponent, but nailing that perfect kick still feels amazing.

Game Overview

Karate Champ on NES is one of those old-school fighters where every hit counts—literally. No health bars here. You land one clean punch or kick, and boom, round over. The guy in the red gi and the guy in the white gi square off, and if you mess up the timing, you’ll eat a half-point loss before you even realize what happened.

The backgrounds change between rounds, but honestly, you won’t be looking at them much. You’re too busy trying to remember whether down-left-punch actually does a roundhouse or just makes your guy flail awkwardly. And those bonus rounds? Weirdly satisfying when you pull off a perfect board break, even if the controls feel like they’re fighting you half the time.

First to two points wins, and matches are over fast—which is good, because you’ll need the practice.
