King of the Monsters is basically what happens when you take Godzilla, drop him in a city, and say, "Go nuts." You pick one of six giant monsters—some look suspiciously like famous kaiju—and then proceed to wreck everything in sight while beating the scales off your opponent.

The cities actually crumble as you fight, which is half the fun. Smash through buildings, pick up boats to chuck at the other monster, or just suplex them into a power plant. It’s messy, chaotic, and exactly what you’d expect from a game where the goal is to be the last beast standing.

Playing against a friend is where it really shines—nothing like arguing over who gets to be the radioactive dinosaur while Tokyo burns in the background. The controls are simple, but there’s something satisfying about the sheer destruction. Just don’t expect deep strategy—this is pure, dumb monster brawling at its best.
