Play King's Bounty Online
Pick a hero, scrape together an army of squabbling monsters, and chase treasure across a different map every time—just don’t go broke before you find that sceptre.

Game Overview
King’s Bounty is one of those old-school turn-based strategy games that somehow still feels fresh today. You start off as one of four hero classes—Barbarian, Knight, Paladin, or Sorceress—each with their own quirks. I went with the Sorceress first because, well, magic, but quickly realized I had no idea how to manage an army without running out of gold by week three. Lesson learned.
The goal is simple: find the Sceptre of Order before King Maximus kicks the bucket. But getting there? That’s the fun part. You’re hunting down villains for bounty money, recruiting weird fantasy creatures (some of which hate each other, so good luck keeping morale up), and scouring the map for treasure that might just give you a clue about where the sceptre’s hidden. Oh, and everything’s randomized each playthrough, so no two runs feel the same.
Combat’s straightforward—your stacks of units take turns whacking the enemy—but there’s a surprising amount of depth. Giants chuck boulders, dragons ignore peasant attacks (because why would they care?), and if you’re not careful, your own troops might turn on you if your leadership’s too low. It’s chaotic in the best way.
If you’ve ever played Heroes of Might and Magic, this is basically its scrappy granddad. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand—you’ll be broke, betrayed, and occasionally obliterated by a random demon before you figure things out.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
