Game Overview

King’s Quest III is the one where you’re stuck as a wizard’s slave, and honestly, it feels way darker than the first two games. You play as Gwydion, sneaking around Manannan’s creepy house while he’s out—or worse, when he’s home, pacing the halls. Mess up, and he’ll turn you into a cat. Or a fish. Or just straight-up murder you.

The real kicker? Everything’s on a timer. The guy has a schedule—tea time, naps, random evil wizard errands—and if you’re not careful, he’ll catch you mid-escape attempt. You’ll scramble to grab ingredients for spells (good luck figuring out which mushrooms won’t poison you) or hide evidence before he notices something’s missing. And yeah, the text parser still hates you. Type "open drawer" wrong, and enjoy your gruesome death.

But when you finally pull off a perfect escape, brew that invisibility potion, or trick him into eating his own cursed food? Pure satisfaction. Just don’t get too comfy—there’s a whole second half involving dragons and family drama waiting once you’re out.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
