You pick from one of five generals, like Guan Yu or Zhang Fei, each with their own weapon and moves. Your goal is to fight through screen after screen of soldiers, archers, and officers, working your way toward the stage boss. The combat is fast and relies on combos, blocks, and a screen-clearing special move that costs health to use, forcing you to decide between momentary safety and your own survival. You can also pick up different weapons scattered around, which change your attack range and power, and there are items to restore health or boost your score. The difficulty is pretty relentless; enemies attack from all sides and don't give you much breathing room. It feels like a constant, hectic struggle where every coin you feed into the machine is a chance to push just a little bit further.
