Game Overview

Krusty World is a Japan exclusive Game Boy title from 1990, developed by Konami. It arrived during the handheld's early years, a time when licensed games based on western properties were still a novelty, especially for the platform. You take on the role of Krusty the Clown, tasked with an unusual mission: building a theme park from the ground up to impress a visiting inspector.

You control Krusty directly, walking around an empty plot of land to place pre-built rides and hire various characters from the show to staff them. The main objective is to earn enough money and satisfy guests before the inspector's timer runs out. Signature mechanics include managing a limited budget to purchase attractions, dealing with frequent malfunctions that require quick repairs, and fending off sabotage attempts from Sideshow Bob. The pace is frantic, and the poorly translated menus add an extra layer of challenge to the management. It feels like trying to assemble a jigsaw puzzle while someone keeps shaking the table.
