Last Survivor is this weird, early 3D shooter where you're a black wireframe dude running through maze-like levels. At first it feels a bit clunky—you're just blasting away at other players and weird enemies while trying not to get lost. But then you realize there's actually some strategy: you gotta hunt down four keys to escape, and the fastest way is usually to take out the other human players (there are seven of them running around).

The cool part? You can team up with a friend on the same screen—it splits vertically, so you're both scrambling for keys while dodging attacks. If you're lucky enough to find an arcade with linked cabinets, up to eight people can play, which turns into total chaos. And yeah, the shop system is oddly satisfying—kill enough monsters for gold, then upgrade your gear or just buy a speed boost so you can outrun everyone else.

It's janky by today's standards, but there's something weirdly addictive about the whole thing. Just don't expect fancy graphics—your character looks like a stick figure made of neon spaghetti.
