Game Overview

Devil Survivor 2 throws you into a Tokyo that’s basically falling apart—demons everywhere, people panicking, and you stuck right in the middle of it. The combat’s this weirdly satisfying mix of turn-based strategy and RPG elements where positioning actually matters, and your party setup can make or break a fight. I remember stubbornly trying to brute-force my way through early battles before realizing that, yeah, maybe I should actually think about team comp.

What really hooked me was how your choices actually shape the story—like, who lives, who dies, and which factions you side with. Some of those decisions still haunt me. The demon fusion system’s addictive too, especially when you finally cobble together some overpowered monstrosity after hours of experimenting. Just don’t get too attached to any one demon—you’ll be dismantling them for better combos sooner than you think.

It’s one of those games where you start playing “just one more day” in the story, and suddenly it’s 3 AM. The DS might be old, but this one holds up.
