Oh man, Lemmings 2: The Tribes is such a clever twist on the original. Instead of one generic horde, you've got 12 themed tribes—like Egyptian lemmings in pyramid deserts or circus lemmings bouncing on trampolines. Each has its own 10-level campaign, and you’ve gotta reunite them all by collecting pieces of some magical Talisman. Feels way more epic than just "save the green-haired guys."

The skills got wild too. Sure, you’ve got classics like digging and climbing, but now there’s a lemming who pole-vaults over gaps, another who skates across ice (weirdly satisfying), and even one that slowly grows plants to make bridges. Some are kinda niche—took me a while to figure out when to use the club basher vs. the scooper—but there’s a practice mode where you can mess around without pressure.

Biggest change? You’re actually rewarded for saving every lemming now, not just hitting the bare minimum. Gold medals if you rescue all 60 in a tribe, which is brutal but weirdly motivating. And since you can jump between tribes anytime, hitting a wall in Highland mode just means switching to Circus for a bit. Way better than passwords—progress actually saves this time.

Still one of the best puzzle games on the Amiga, hands down.
