Game Overview

Lemmings 2: The Tribes takes the original formula and cranks it up—way up. Instead of just eight skills, you've got 51 now, though each level still only gives you a handful to work with. Some are familiar twists on classics (digging, building), while others are wild new additions—like lemmings playing instruments to make others stop and dance. Yeah, that’s a thing now.

You start with 60 lemmings per tribe, but only need one survivor to move forward. Problem is, some levels chew through your little guys fast, so you might find yourself replaying earlier stages just to stock up for the tougher ones. Medals (bronze, silver, gold) depend on how many you save, and they determine what talisman piece you get at the end. Want the full outro? Better rescue at least 20 from each tribe and grab all gold talismans.

New quality-of-life stuff helps, like fast-forward (no more waiting forever for lemmings to march) and a fan tool to push flying ones around. Oh, and falling doesn’t always mean instant death now—sometimes they just get dazed and wobble back up. There’s trampolines, cannons, swing ropes… it’s chaos, but the good kind. Definitely feels like they threw everything at the wall here, and most of it sticks.
