Play Les Manley in: Lost in L.A. Online

Les Manley in: Lost in L.A. came out in 1992 for MS-DOS, published by Accolade. It was part of that wave of point-and-click adventures that relied heavily on humor and puzzle solving, fitting right in with the genre's quirks and charms from that era. You play as Les Manley, a down-on-his-luck reporter sent to Los Angeles to track down a missing child star, but the plot quickly spirals into something much weirder.

You control Les screen by screen, interacting with objects and characters using a verb coin interface. Your main goal is to solve puzzles by combining items, talking to oddball NPCs, and navigating through exaggerated versions of Hollywood landmarks. The game is known for its high difficulty, partly due to some obscure puzzle logic and the constant interruptions from Helmut, your wisecracking sidekick who offers unhelpful commentary. Playing it feels like stumbling through a deliberately silly, sometimes frustrating, but oddly endearing B-movie adventure.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
