Game Overview

Lethal Weapon on SNES is one of those movie tie-ins that actually got the vibe right—even if it plays nothing like the film. You pick Riggs or Murtaugh (Riggs shoots faster, Murtaugh jumps higher, which matters more than you’d think) and dive into missions that feel like a mix of platforming and run-and-gun chaos.

The first four missions—docks, sewers, a mall, an office building—can be tackled in any order, which is nice when you’re stuck on one. But don’t get too comfortable: every level’s a maze of ladders and platforms, and the clock’s always ticking. You’ll kick and shoot your way through waves of goons, scrambling for ammo clips and praying for a bulletproof vest before some punk with a shotgun ruins your day. Boss fights are brutal, especially when you’re down to your last sliver of health and the timer’s beeping at you.

It’s janky in that classic SNES way, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about clearing a level with seconds to spare.
