Game Overview

Loony Pool, also known as Lunar Ball Hack, came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1998. It was a late release for the NES, a time when many players had already moved on to newer consoles. The game is a pool simulation with a twist, offering something a little different from standard eight ball or nine ball.

You control the cue stick, aiming and setting power for each shot across a series of unconventional tables. The main goal is to pocket all the balls on each table, but the layouts are strange; some have obstacles, gaps, or unusual shapes that force creative shots. You need to think about angles and bank shots in ways normal pool doesn't demand. The game moves at a steady pace, and the challenge comes from figuring out each table's puzzle like layout. It feels satisfying when a tricky shot finally sinks the last ball.
