Play Lost Patrol Online
You guide your squad through dense jungle, rationing supplies while unseen enemies stalk you—every step could trigger an ambush, and dead soldiers stay dead. The turn-based moves let you think, but the jungle never feels safe.

Lost Patrol came out in 1991 for MS-DOS, published by Ocean of America. It was one of those games from the early 90s that tried something different, blending strategy and survival in a setting that felt tense and unpredictable. You don't see many games like it from that era, where the focus is less on action and more on careful planning and consequence.
You control a squad of soldiers stranded in the jungle, moving them screen by screen across a map filled with hidden dangers. Your main goal is to survive, find your way out, and rescue any captured comrades. Key mechanics include managing your squad's health and ammunition, setting up defensive positions during enemy ambushes, and navigating using a compass and landmarks. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is high; mistakes cost lives, and those losses are permanent. It feels like a desperate struggle against both the environment and an invisible enemy, where every decision carries weight.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
